Unfortunately, our experience with Yoast SEO for Shopify has been extremely disappointing, and I would strongly advise other Shopify merchants to be very careful before allowing the app to make any changes to their themes. In our case, the Yoast app injected/modified code in our Shopify themes, and the result was actual front-end changes affecting what our customers see. Mistakes can happen with...

The app itself is fine. However, a bug in their latest version completely wiped our theme settings, which broke our site. This resulted in a revenue loss of over €5,000, and destabilized our Meta and Google Ads, which will lead to even further losses. Support just said they're sorry but can't do anything about it.

Would not touch this app with a bargepole after an automated updated wiped all my theme control settings on my website. It is very clear that yoast are originally made for Wordpress and not shopify. Made a bunch of overrides, that actually ended up making my SEO worste than what my theme already had implementet out of the box. Spend your money on a premium theme instead. A shame i paid for a year.

Requires all update work to be done in CSV export...given Shopify issues with importing/exporting, that's a no-go. Also just get pushed documentation each time I ask a question. Looking for something easy, that provides actionable recommendations for regular people...this isn't it unfortunately.
